I have a 1996 Acura t.l 2.5 and it will not start?

I was driving on the freeway and my car jerked and acted like it wanted to cut off. It slowed down from 80 to 60. I hit the gas nothing happened. I hit it again it jerked and drove normal. I got off the freeway stopped at the light hit the gas and it wouldn't go, then it jerked and took off. Drove it on the streets at 40 mph it worked fine took it on the freeway did 60 mph and it did the same thing, jerked and slowed down. But this time when I hit the gas nothing happened but a boom noise. I pulled over on the freeway and it cutoff. Started it up and it came back on hit the gas it jerked and it cut off again. Any suggestions? Please help! Thanks
