Trying to remember a book...?

I'm trying to remember the title of this book and all i can remember are some beginning plot details. I believe it takes place on a multi-leveled fantasy world with a boy who lives on one of the bottom levels. (The wealthier people live on top in a city) I think the boy works for his mean father in an orchard or something... He meets this girl at a dinner (i think) and sets off to go find her when she leaves (again, not 100% sure about this). the book has a long weird name that is written in a cursive font on the cover. that's about all i can remember because i stopped reading it a couple chapters in... please help cuz i really want to read it again!
